Launch of Free Mobile Cancer Screening Service in Erbil

We are proud to announce that on 11 September 2025, a new mobile cancer screening service was launched at Sarkarez Primary Health Centre in Erbil. The service is a joint initiative of the Nursing & Midwifery Development Centre, the Breast Cancer Clinic, the Erbil General Directorate of Health, and the Cancer Control Department of the KRG Ministry of Health, with funding support from LDS Charities.

The mobile unit is equipped with mammography and ultrasound to provide breast cancer screening and will expand to cervical and colorectal cancer in the future. By visiting primary health care centres and providing free service, the unit will make screening more accessible, with referrals managed by family physicians.

This partnership between international, local, and governmental organizations is an important step toward improving early cancer detection and expanding access to essential health services in the Kurdistan Region.

The construction of the unit was organized by the Rokar organization and the NMDC will run the operations in coordination with the mentioned partners.

بەشانازییەوە ڕادەگەیەنین کە لە ڕۆژی ١١ی ئەیلولی ٢٠٢٥دا، خزمەتگوزاریەکی نوێی گەڕۆکی پشکنینی شێرپەنجە لە بنکەی تەندروستی سەرەتایی سەرکارێز لە هەولێر دەستی پێکرد. ئەم خزمەتگوزارییە هاوبەشە لە نێوان سەنتەری پەرەپێدانی پەرستاری و مامانی، سەنتەری شێرپەنجەی مەمک، بەڕێوەبەرایەتی گشتی تەندروستی هەولێر، و بەشی کۆنتڕۆڵی شێرپەنجەی وەزارەتی تەندروستی حکومەتی هەرێمی کوردستان، بە پشتگیری داراییەوە لەلایەن خێرخوازی LDS ئەمریکی.

یەکەی گەڕۆکەکە دابینکراوە بە مامۆگرافی و سۆنەر بۆ پێشکەشکردنی پشکنینی شێرپەنجەی مەمک و لە داهاتوودا فراوان دەکرێت بۆ شێرپەنجەی ملی منداڵدان و کۆڵۆن. بە سەردانکردنی بنکەکانی تەندروستی سەرەتایی و پێشکەشکردنی خزمەتگوزاری بەخۆڕایی، یەکەکە پشکنین لەبەردەستتر دەکات، بە ئاراستەکردنەوەی نەخۆشان لەلایەن پزیشکانی خێزانیەوە.

ئەم هاوبەشییە لە نێوان ڕێکخراوە نێودەوڵەتی، ناوخۆیی و حکومییەکان هەنگاوێکی گرنگە بەرەو باشترکردنی دۆزینەوەی زووی شێرپەنجە و فراوانکردنی دەست گەیشتن بۆ خزمەتگوزارییە تەندروستییە سەرەکییەکان لە هەرێمی کوردستان.

دروستکردنی یەکەکە لەلایەن ڕێکخراوی ڕۆکارەوە ڕێکخراوە و سەنتەری پەرەپێدانی پەرستاری و مامانی کارەکانی بەڕێوەدەبات لە هەماهەنگی لەگەڵ هاوبەشەکانی ناوبراودا.
