BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
The AHA’s BLS Provider Course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. Participants learn through simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. They work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and written and skills testing.
Who is the course for:
The BLS Provider course is for any healthcare provider working in any setting where resuscitation skills may be needed. Medical, nursing, and other healthcare professions’ students are also welcome to attend.

What will I learn?
At the end of the course, you will be able to:

understand the importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival

list all of the steps of the Chain of Survival and apply the BLS concepts of the Chain of Survival

recognize the signs of someone needing CPR

perform high-quality CPR for adults, children and infants
-
understand the importance of early use of an AED and demonstrate its use
-
provide effective ventilations by using a barrier device
-
appreciate the importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and perform as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
-
use the technique for relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infant
What language is the language in?
The course materials are available in English and Arabic and NMDC LS instructors teach in English, Kurdish, and Arabic.
How long does the course take?
The BLS Course is a half-day course that takes at least 4,5 hours to complete.

What is the course price?
The course costs $60, which includes AHA E-book, Course AHA Completion E-card, AHA Course Certificate, and the Resuscitation Pocket Mask.
What about certification?
After successful completion of the course, you will receive an international Certificate of Attendance and a Course Completion Card approved by the American Heart Association valid for 2 years.
